Later during the summer we asked Lela Ninoshvili to make some preliminary investigation under the existing layers of wallpaper. She made a wonderful discovery, as she has in many other Tbilisi houses and hallways. Two layers down we found this beautiful hand-painted pattern covering the entire front room. It made us wonder how many other houses of this period in Georgia have similar treasures waiting to be found under their walls.
