“My Heritage” Contest 2025

“My Heritage” is a joint initiative of the National Trust of Georgia and the British Embassy, held for the third time in 2025.

The project aims to honor and acknowledge Georgian citizens - particularly those living in regional areas - who, through their regular efforts and personal contributions, preserve, restore, and pass on the country’s cultural heritage to future generations. 

Through this initiative, we seek to introduce these individuals and their invaluable contributions to a wider public.In the 2025 edition, the competition received over 60 applications. A jury of professionals from various fields of heritage evaluated the submissions according to established criteria and selected 24 winners across four categories.

• Preservation, adaptation, and conservation of buildings or parts thereof

• Preservation and restoration of movable cultural heritage – including works of art on canvas, paper, or wood, as well as items made of glass, ceramics, metal, textile, and other materials
• Preservation and sharing of traditional crafts, material processing, artisanal skills, and recipes

• Research, preservation, and dissemination of traditional knowledge, folklore, oral heritage, and family traditions
