III Place – Eka Zaridze

Eka Zaridze is dedicated to preserving and promoting the artistic legacy of her grandfather, painter Lado Zaridze, who served as Vice-Rector of the Tbilisi State Academy of Arts during the rectorship of Apolon Kutateladze. Despite his significant contribution, much of his creative work remains little known to the wider public.

Through her efforts, Mrs. Zaridze has undertaken several important initiatives to bring greater recognition to the artist’s oeuvre. These include identifying and collecting his artworks, developing a dedicated website, and preparing and publishing a comprehensive catalog. Some of Lado Zaridze’s works are also in need of restoration.
